- My work combines contemporary painting style with folk art tradition. The tactile qualities of fiber, paper, and found objects have an inherent appeal and hidden beauty. I find it exciting to create something interesting out of discarded and meaningless objects. This process takes on a life of its on. The images I choose are metaphors of connection with the creative process itself. The desire to reach beyond the familiar and attainable into the unknown, is a Spirit driven gift. for which I am thankful. My hope is that my works will bring some of that Spirit and warmth into people's lives and environments.
